One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other
students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each
name.

Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each
of their classmates and write it down.

It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and
as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.

That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a
separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about
that individual.

On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire
class was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never
knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know
others liked me so much,' were most of the comments.

No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they
discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter.
The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with
themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.



Several years later, one of the students was killed in Vietnam and his
teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen
a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so
mature.

The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him
took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the
coffin.

As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up
to her. 'Were you Mark's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded:
'yes.' Then he said: 'Mark talked about you a lot.'

After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a
luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak
with his teacher.

'We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a
wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Mark when he was
killed. We thought you might recognize it.'

Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook
paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The
teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she
had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about
him.

'Thank you so much for doing that,' Mark's mother said.
'As you can see, Mark treasured it.'

All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled
rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top
drawer of my desk at home.'

Chuck's wife said, 'Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding
album.'

'I have mine too,' Marilyn said. 'It's in my
diary'

Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her
wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry
this with me at all times,' Vicki said and without batting an
eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists'

That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark
and for all his friends who would never see him again.

The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life
will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be.

So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special
and important. Tell them, before it is too late.

Mistake 3: I GO N FU**ING PRESS WARM WATER (cos last time i press warm water...my noodles r cooked) BUT WTH...the water's cold...D: so jesmine's noodles cant be cooked...NOT COOKED = RAW LOR...WALAO...D: i sadd tio man...she cant eat...T.T...but luckily wayne got cup noodles...he sparred her 1 bowl...then she got to eat...but she wasted her $2.30 man...all MY fault somemre...D:

A Mother's Sacrifice

My mom only had one eye. I hated her... she was such an embarrassment. My mom ran a small shop at a flea market. She collected little weeds and such to sell... anything for the money we needed she was such an embarrassment. There was this one day during elementary school. I remember that it was field day, and my mom came. I was so embarrassed.

How could she do this to me? I threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school..."Your mom only has one eye?!" and they taunted me.

I wished that my mom would just disappear from this world so I said to my mom, "Mom, why don't you have the other eye?! You're only going to make me a laughingstock. Why don't you just die?" My mom did not respond. I guess I felt a little bad, but at the same time, it felt good to think that I had said what I'd wanted to say all this time.

Maybe it was because my mom hadn't punished me, but I didn't think that I had hurt her feelings very badly.

That night...I woke up, and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. My mom was crying there, so quietly, as if she was afraid that she might wake me. I took a look at her, and then turned away. Because of the thing I had said to her earlier, there was something pinching at me in the corner of my heart. Even so, I hated my mother who was crying out of her one eye. So I told myself that I would grow up and become successful, because I hated my one-eyed mom and our desperate poverty.

Then I studied really hard. I left my mother and came to Seoul and studied, and got accepted in the Seoul University with all the confidence I had. Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. Then I had kids, too. Now I'm living happily as a successful man. I like it here because it's a place that doesn't remind me of my mom. This happiness was getting bigger and bigger, when someone unexpected came to see me "What?! Who's this?!" ...It was my mother...Still with her one eye. It felt as if the whole sky was falling apart on me. My little girl ran away, scared of my mom's eye.

And I asked her, "Who are you? I don't know you!!!" as if I tried to make that real. I screamed at her "How dare you come to my house and scare my daughter! GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!" And to this, my mother quietly answered, "oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address," and she disappeared. Thank good ness... she doesn't recognize me. I was quite relieved. I told myself that I wasn't going to care, or think about this for the rest of my life. Then a wave of relief came upon me...one day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. I lied to my wife saying that I was going on a business trip. After the reunion, I went down to the old shack, that I used to call a house...just out of curiosity there, I found my mother fallen on the cold ground. But I did not shed a single tear. She had a piece of paper in her hand.... it was a letter to me. She wrote:

My son... I think my life has been long enough now. And... I won't visit Seoul anymore... but would it be too much to ask if I wanted you to come visit me once in a while? I miss you so much. And I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I decided not to go to the school.... For you... I'm sorry that I only have one eye, and I was an embarrassment for you. You see, when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you having to grow up with only one eye... so I gave you mine...I was so proud of my son that was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye. I was never upset at you for anything you did. The couple times that you were angry with me. I thought to myself, 'it's because he loves me.' I miss the times when you were still young around me. I miss you so much. I love you. You mean the world to me.

My world shattered!!!

Then I cried for the person who lived for me... MY MOTHER

(obviously)...=.=...nth to do...so slacked at home...xD...watched Sexy Voice And Robo (Jap drama)...ate chips...hohoho...n ltr in the evening....went out wif madd.... :D to.......................*drums roll*....JP....=.=....DUHH...obviously...cos its likk...the nearest?!...went there to shop for clothes...ate at lai lai kitchen...n surprisingly...it's not crowded.....>.>....went to MOS Burger to try the milk shake...its not badd....but i'm too full to appreciate it...D:
walk ard JP to buy...in the end mad bought a dress + 4 tops...$68 spent in all!...i bought a top too?...0.o..mmm...then after all the shopping...we went home...! :D

went to GV wif madd!!!...haha she brightened upp my day...cos i was dreading it...due to...........>.>....i won say anythg...=x...was OK at work until i was call to the office by the mgrS...D: ...when i went in...was likk 5 mgr inside waiting 4 me...D: omg....T.T...hmmm...hai...nvmmm......damn sadd......(if u wanna noe...ask me 4 the details...but it depends on whether i wanna say or not...but most probably...i'm not gonna say it...=.=...)

anyway went home wif mad n irshad......n i received the package for the enrolment to poly alrdy!!!!!...but the procedures are likk SO. DAMN. TROUBLESOME...tot its onli the info for when to start poly n stuffs...zzz...but in the end...still nid to enrol + pay fees + go for colour vision test + dunno wad la...DOTS....>.>...argg...darn...D:

met Madi n went GV tgt~!!! hahaS..went to buy MAC for breakfast!!! yum.....! (so long nv eat le)...then after tat reached GV....she start at 9.30am (opening for box)....got her own acc somemore! i start at 10.30am...so...eat my breakfast in the staff rm lor...>.>....BUT finish my MAC be4 10am...=.=...DUHH...lucky i got bring my PSP...xD...but anyway...the trip was fun!...thx to Mad...! hoho
